With a high commitment to craftsmanship, Betty Montarou dedicaces her work to objects, rooms and rituals of the everyday life.
Beside my own research work and ceramic collections, I offer to work on special commissions from the concept to the development and production. If you have a project, contact me for further informations.
From the start of her studies in Product Design at the Ecole Boulle in Paris, Betty Montarou met the ceramist Ulrike Weiss since then engaged in a parallel learning, which led her to an exchange year focused on ceramic and glass design, first in Denmark (DKDS, Copenhagen) and then in Germany (Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule, Halle).
After her diploma in 2014, she has worked at studio Sebastian Herkner in Frankfurt am Main-Germany, where she developed her sense for colors and textures within the fields of object, textile, furniture and interior design.
Since 2018, Betty Montarou runs her own studio. → More infos
